Lol. "Hep me! I'm stuck in the gut!" "AFK, i'm in gutland."
What happens when the worm dies? Or, the worm's area is emptied of players? Or, the entire server is in worm guts? Is there anything to farm in a worm's gut? A boss? Chodes? A portal to the plane of earth?

In NWN1 you were swallowed and transitioned to a 1x2 area that looked like the worms insides. There was a heart looking placeable that you could hit on and help kill the worm, or get you spit out. If the worm died, or you were puked up you simply went back to your group from where you were swallowed. Does it make sense? it was something done to prevent perma death if swallowed.

you should take acid damage and be able to attack its insides in an attempt to get out. and if you die before you get out you die as per the rules of the server

But I would add server-wide message that said something like - "Loudent was consumed, digested, and defecated by A Giant Worm"-So that everyone could have a point and laugh moment. It would be even better if a poo statue of the character was left behind for 1 game day.

someone once told me that the admin of a server has a lot to do with the quality of players that are attracted to that server. I want to tell you that I'm deeply disturbed by the idea that there is something in my nature that draws people who would concieve of leaving a giant poo statue of a character that was eaten and defecated by a giant purple worm. I think I need a shower

Then you guys could enter it in some OEI custom content contest. It would probably be better than the other entries (scripted purple worm?!?!!!), but I'll bet they would find some reason to not have it win.
On the other hand, I would like that in the OC. I would let it eat Zhaeve and call it a good deal. "Know that I have been eaten and defecated. Know that when I am restored, I will resume casting bless."

For some real insight, next time wettshoes, siege, rainbow brite, and I are in a group together listen in. I'm pretty sure you'll want to have yourself committed. As for the quality of players you gain medical professionals, lawyers...oh wait that sounds like a pothead rationalizing legalization, never mind. I'll umm, get back to you on this one....

Quote from cosper123 : " next time wettshoes, siege, rainbow brite, and I are in a group together listen in. "
Oh believe me, Lou does listen in. It wasn't long ago when Wett, seige, and "Basher" were together, and someone, I won't say who... Uggg, said "bring it on". We were quite forntunate that " Santa" was on and being nice that day. And back to the topic a bit, i'll be willing to wager that part of Lou's intrest in this creature is a result of Lou's "bringing it on" and the results. I also gotta feeling that if he ever saw three certain defficated poop statutes, he might actuly feel better about the idea of deficated poop statutes.

I instigated that by shouting that Wettshoes was talking smack, he took it and ran with it.
Not that I don't think Lou wouldn't listen in, but probably to more intimate conversations like when I'm hitting on a "chick" only to find out that siege is just playing a female. Sicko. Or was that Wettshoes? Either way, they're both probably perverts. However, at least they don't run around in red go-go boots.

When I'm in DM mode, I can't help *but* listen in. The game engine gleefully sends me every disturbing comment whatever mode people are using. I think only direct tells don't show up on the client. My interest in *this* creature stems from the fact that NWN2 really needs more creature models. We have lots, to be sure, but are missing some important ones. Anything I can do to encourage model builders to convert or create more creatures is probably more valuable than any work I can do on the server here. Scripting is fun and easy for me so it's a small price to pay for cool creatures. Besides, I have Just the place for a purple worm

Anything I can do to encourage model builders to convert or create more creatures is probably more valuable than any work I can do on the server here. I can agree with that but only to a point. The server has a real unfinished feel to it, especially since it's pretty pointless to plan your character to 30 here. Epic giant home would go a long way to improve this, especially since mages can't do much against the epic golems...but from what you've said it'd be too much effort. But yeah, there's a lot around that teases...a dragon in Western Barrenlands that doesn't drop anything or give exp, and giant gates that lead to...nowhere. Also you go through a lot of effort to get your green card to go through the gates in Eastern Barrenlands only to find it's abandoned. You gain mastery "Level one" over your shard which begs the question, why not just call it shard mastery so we're not left hanging. Then we hear about islands, pirate attacks, underdark area with drow and dreugar, etc...and it becomes shockingly clear. You're that guy that has all sorts of awesome ideas so you're always working on tons of projects...but none of them get complete. That explains the large honey-do list! I can completely sympathise with your wife. I'd offer to go knock out your honey-do list with my vast knowledge of home improvment skills -(did you know you could learn to mud and tape sheetrock on youtube? the internet rocks) -but apparently my wife has expecatations too and I'm busy as well. So where was I? Oh yes, please give us an area where we can level to 30. Poor Beldar alone has like 3,476 characters sitting at the level 25 range. I think that if we were able to occupy ourselves finishing our characters for awhile it would dull the pain of no scaling dungeon, or epic house of horrors that presents a challenge to well formed groups

What is interesting to me how there are some existing OEI models that don't get much play - dinosaurs (one world I play on has these), mind flayers (I am beginning to wonder if they are missing from the tool set), SoZ yuan ti snake/salamander things, treants, demons and devils (see more play on some other worlds), Gith, and bugbears. Humans, duergar, and drow (trite? but so are orcs) make good enemies too. We could have some other flavors of elemental as well. We seem to have orcs in abundance. My ranger took favored enemy orc for her first choice of enemy. Maybe replace some of them with bugbears? Throw some ogre magi in somewhere? Still I am super excited about Beholders and purple worms. I would love to see the Rakshasa too (I wish those were a playable race - we could build the Thundercats). I would encourage the installation of Illithid, but people would just accuse me of trying to increase the value of my prodigious collection of Will Amulets +7. Higher level content would cause me a quandry. How would I decide who to try it out with first? Maybe I should just make a new character and play him up and through it all.

I can agree with that but only to a point. The server has a real unfinished feel to it tis true, but it will always have that feel that way because there will always be a new "frontier". A new area not complete, an entrance with no link. That's just sort of the way I work. Next revision has the auto-leveling dungeon (for xp gain) and a level 30 end-game type instance zone. It won't be easy but you should be able to level to 30 and have something to do once you get there. What I said is that it's too much effort to be worth it. It would likely be as easy or easier to add new zones than upgrade gianthome. The dragon's name is an anagram of "Teaser" Well it leads somewhere now, but that zone isn't complete either, so the unfinished feel will continue It's true that I probably have too many irons in the fire, but building is a hobby for me, it's supposed to be fun. Sometimes it ends up feeling like a job. I play with different things to avoid burning out. Eventually they all make their way in to the server. And a lot of times it's because I respond to player requests when I'm in the middle of building a zone. Yes, I think I stated I opened up the entrance of the scaling dungeon. It's slated for the next update. (which will likely be the week following the Obsidian update and Kaedrin's next release). I feel your frustration, I really do and these are all good points that I'll take to heart. for the update following this next one I'll focus on finishing up existing locations. I'll itemize dungeons without loot and finish up have done dungeons. I'll probably remove the Dragon since he was mostly a Teaser and put something else in there. EDIT: One more point about Stone Mastery I. They heroic avatar ability actually mimics a lot of what Heroic Mobs get. The level of stone mastery actually affects the x multiplier (i.e. Heroicx1, Heroicx2...HeroicxN). IIRC, stone mastery I is the equivalent of Heroicx2. The bonuises will go up as you gain additional stone mastery levels.
