Yeah, I forwent implementing the abilities as spells and just scripted it right into the AI, This way I don't have to worry about talk entries. Makes the whole thing more portable.. Needs a few pieces to tune up and some customizable entries (1d6 bludge and 1d6 acid might be good when the cube is 7hd, but needs to scale up. If nothing else just to speed up the death rate (imagine being engulfed with 300 hp. How long would it take you to die taking 2d6 a round ?

Script is done, want me to hook you up?
Probably should be player tested too.

So I was reading the RWS boards and it appears that there are a bunch more cirtters already done. Where can we find these?

There are all kinds of strange vfx anomolies that have very little to do with the creature. Are you talking about elemental flashes off to the side and above a bit?

I see.
Did you test out the cube with the AI? Any questions regarding it?

I will try it today. I busy finishing my cliff pack (been putting it off to long, its 99% done) I have to get my Overland map off to the quest guy and then I can test the cube, so I can move on making more monsters So many irons in the fire, so little time! I have a question, since there is no appear / disappear animation, could a monster be scripted to appear using a custom animation, and have a custom placeable appear and stay at the point where it breaks the ground?.. a Generic script, something I could use for the Purple Worm and the Ankheg.

Might be possible.
worst case scenario we could run an effect of ground disturbance.
EDIT: Upon thinking about ti we could probably set it to script hidden and have it set it self as visible right about the time we start an animation on the on-spawn event.

Very Very nice. It makes such a difference when you fight a monster that has special abilities. Thanks so much for scripting it.
Wanna make a deal on the worm? LOL

I looked up the work. It has a lot of the same abilities (swallow whole vs engulf) but, graphically it just won't look as nice. The cube has some lee-way with it's collision making it easy for me to jump the player to the cube's location and for it to appear engulged. Not sure how I'd script swallow whole (other than to make the PC Cut scene invisible and paralyzed....hmmm.....interesting.
For the graphical effect, I'd need to play around with it to see what I can do.

I was thinking more of a scripted appear/disappear. as for the swallowing whole, in NWN1 you transition to an interior area made to look like worm insides. I would be willing to make an interior worm gut meta tile if that could be done
