Ok, the factions are all messed up. Friendly NPCs might be hostile to you, they may fight each other, you're virutally guaranteed to not be able to quest.
I've got an early meeting tomorrow and I'm already 45 minutes past my "drop dead" time. I'm leaving the server up so you guys can play around with it but it's not ready for prime time so I'm passwording it so new players can't stumble in. Password is abcd
There most certainly will be a vault restore to pre-123 characters once we get everything squared away so don't make any progression you don't want to have to do again.
Hopefully I'll have more time to get this squared away for tomorow.

Ok, server is runnig without password. Vault is restored to 7/20 and there will only be another vault rollback if massive character damage is found. So far I seem to be getting away without a campaign.

Well, I don't even know where the old files are. But, I would like to round them up and put them where the autodownloader will update them so as not to have to download everything all over again. Also, I am moving my entire mydocs folder to another drive.

The old files will no longer suffice. pwcs are gone and haks are put in teh same directory as the walkmesh. You are welcome to clean out everythign I used to put there.
My advice is to create a shortcut for firing up NWN2 for use on PWs and use the -home directive to specify a special directories for those worlds.

The server is up and the AutoDL is functional. If you log in with the password it will download the files you need automatically and, yes, it is stored in a different location than the server. What you should do, if you play multiple PWs, is create a "home" directory for each one. For instance you can create a c:\NWN2PWFiles directory and under that craete a directory for LDoA then create a shortcut that calls "<path to nwn2 dir>/nwn2main.exe -home c:\nwn2pwfiles\ldoa and it will put an duse files from that home directory. |

I just tried to download and was getting an error message about the rotw_creatures.hak (iirc) file failing to verify after download which would cause the download to restart (it skipped back from ~34MB downloaded back to ~8 MB downloaded. I canceled and restarted.

hmm, that was the file that was updated, but I just removed an item. shouldn't ever be an issue.
