I was just wondering: why are there are no implemented races with a favoured class of monk or druid? I'm not very up on D&D info, but surely there must be some that exist? Is it that they are pretty obscure and obsidian wanted to cover core races?

Favored soul makes no sense to be a favored class (except maybe for a celestial race).
Favord soul is simply a God has taking so much personal interest in that they are allowed to spontaneously cast pretty much whatever spell the choose. (well they have to choose them and then can cast them at will).
I can't imagine an entire race of favored souls (since it's the soul, not the flesh)
Druid seems like a solid contender to be a favored class. Probably nymphs or slyphs or other fey have them but they are not player races.

Blame it on Wizards of the Coast. They didn't bother making a standard race for every class and the few with monk or druid are either useless compared to existing races or so far in front of the shark (having jumped there) I wouldn't touch it with a nuke.

lots and lots of favored class races fit that bill but most are +4 ECL or more.

The Painted Elves from Sandstorm have a favored class of druid but are identical to Wild Elves in every other way.
