Frost mage natural armor AC does not stack with a natural AC amulet. As a result, frost mage is not that useful. I guess I could wear an amulet of will or constitution instead, but neither is all that helpful (already have +4 CON from boots, wizard will saves are good). I guess I am sad that frost mage is not as useful as it initially appeared.

wonder if those N-AC increases would be changed to be the epic N-AC feats? Kind of like FM uses the STR feats?

The class gets the ability to bypass resistances and you possibly save a slot for an amulet. If you don't, *shrugs*, not the fault of the class. It's hardly a weak class.
The wording of the ability implies it should stack but the power level of the class is already at the edge of my comfort zone. I could stack it but I'm not keen on doing so.

Dunno..the resistances you can gain from your spells anyhow.
The biggest problem with this class here is probably a reflection of the server itself. A free'd up slot for an amulet...but not really any great choices of replacement.
Better off going with the PM here which gets higher AC, it does stack...and you get neat bonuses that you normally wouldn't like immune to criticals and such.

Yeah, PM is better, but the build I was planning was Wiz 5, ASoC 8, PM 10, FrM 7. I don't have a problem with the relative strength of the class. I just thought it was cooler *heh* than it is.

for a straight caster Frost Mage is still amazing. Magic damage for all cold spells? that ROCKS. The increase in base cold damage spells is getting pumped up pretty high with the spell additions that are coming. Also if you go arcane/nature the nature spell list has a LOT of cold spells that work with frost mage. The AC is minor feature really. Still I understand the lesser coolness of the none stacking. tis ok cause its not the reason I would take the class anyway.

I'd rather it stack. There is only one epic AC feat, not a series like the ability increases, although armor skin should be series of stacking feats like epic toughness.

the ac was one of the main reasons I was looking at this class. If it does not stack, that reduces the value of the class for certain. Even beyond the free amulet spot, it takes away from the value of spiderskin and shadow shield. I know they do not stack with an amulet, but my point being those spells allow you to free up that spot so the 'freed up spot' is not even really a value.

It's a cmi option now so it's up the individual PW operators.

ZOMG this happening for all natural AC bonuses for all classes that give one?
Can I get some voting love for this cmi option being turned on!

I am not clear on what Kaedrin's cmi option does? Is it:
1. Natural AC in general stacks - like dodge AC (if so is it capped at 20?) 2. Only frost mage AC stacks 3. Some other choice that I have not discerned?
I'll add the poll, but I suggest waiting on voting until Kaedrin explains the option.

I'm not sure how to write the description to be any clearer. It says that Frost Mage's natural AC bonus will now *effectively* stack with other sources of natural AC. ONLY Frost mages. RAW.
