So while waiting for server updates and SoZ to arrive, I decided to try to slate my Fallout lust by playing the older episodes. At which point I discovered that I had somehow missed Fallout 2 completely. Enter gog.com which sold me a Fallout 2 as a DRM free digital download, download as often as I want and comes with the sound track and other extras including the Fallout bible. All for $5.99 via Paypal. I just found the site but have been very happy with my purchase and I thought I'd share.

Assuming I can buy and download those games in Australia (it doesn't say I can't but I still haven't gotten over looking through the list of them all), then, It's awesome!
I like the idea that (according to the site anyway) they've rigged the games up to all run under Vista. No more need for screwing about with DosBox.

Fallout 2 is aweseom. I'm finding FO3 to be a worthy addition to the franchise, but something has been lost in the translation, hopefully it's moddable and we can see not only a re-do of the new SPECIAL system but also new content.

I only realised FO3 had been released last night. Unfortuneately we have a horse race that prevents all the stores from being open for me to purchase it today. On the plus side, however, that horse race means I get the day off of work
