So, with the item appearnce CC should we allow players to alter their gear freely or should we put in a gold and/or XP sink?
Perhaps you should need to surrender an item with the same base type so we can pull items from the player pool?
Let's hear your thoughts.

I think it should be free, I don't see why not, it would bring more variety to the game. Then my armor can look totally out of place.

Sure it should be free - charging money for something that has no real impact on gameplay isn't something that should be considered. On the other hand, my characters are massing extreme fortunes and have literally nothing to spend it on. Adding some kind of gold sink is something that has to be considered important.

Well there is some cost built into the system so it won't be completely free. From what I unerstand the cost is tied to the gold value of the item.
"...charging money for something that has no real impact on gameplay isn't something that should be considered...."
On the contrary I think it should be the opposite. It's those very things that are the best money sinks. There's only so much I'd be willing to spend to give a combat advantage (since there is only so much you lose when you fail) but people will spend their last gold piece decorating a "home" just so.

I like the nominal fee. It tends to make characters more recognizable if they are not radically altering their appearance every time they log in. Conversely, if that is someone's cup of tea, then a nominal fee doesn't prevent them from doing so. The majority of players will tune to a given look and stick with it for at least a while. Please keep the single wing as an option. Another server I play on has this, but doesn't offer the wing (they do have double wings, but it just isn't the same ) as an option.
