I know there be lots of people that hate GUI mods for one reason or another but I have been looking for and even tried to request someone to make a GUI mod that puts an XP bar in its own little bar that you can move around. This would allow you to see XP progression without opening up your character sheet page. I was wondering if anyone here upto and including Loudent was able to create such a small mod.
Thanks in advance for anyone thats willing to help or create it.

I like this idea. What I've seen about GUIs that I don;t like is that they don't go in HAKs of Campaign Folders but in the more general folder and everybody is overriding the same files. It gets messy, fast.

I can make this for you if you like, and the latest version of NWN2 allows you to put XML GUI mods in the hakpaks now.
The only question is how you want to bring it up onto the screen. I can make it so it replaces an existing button (not preferred) or you can assign the script to an item and plop that in the player's inventory to activate.

well if you can make it not an item? I want it to be its own little floating and movable box with clean white lines. Its just got to be [XP at/XP to level] clear and readable. If it requires an item script Im not sure Lou will do it. Im sure hes see this and comment. I would really like to see it look like THIS or be attached to it somehow. Nice and clean. Easy to read.

Well, he could activate it when the player enters. I was just thinking if the PC closed it (if we put a close on it) and wanted to re-open it.
Otherwise, ya, we could throw it into the enter script and just leave it and the player could drag it to where ever and just leave it there.
I started it already and am just about finished. All I need to do is make it draggable and test a couple more times.

All done!
Now I just need an email address to send it to. It's one file - a single hak file. 27k in size so pretty small. No need to import any scripts as it's included in the hak file.
All you need to do is decide where to run it and do this:
ExecuteScript("sjs_xpbar", oPC);
Where oPC is of course the player you want to run it on which could be the GetLastEnteredBy or GetLastActivator or whatever. You'll also want to call it whenever the player GAINS XP so that the bar is updated so if you have a general death script or something for mobs or at the end of quests that give you XP, simply add that same line and the hak will do the rest.
Feel free to pull it apart and disect is as much as you like. I'll probably throw it on the NWN vault but it's my contribution to the world.
Someone throw me an email address and I'll send it to you.
Cheers,
Seranne

The XP bar is a NEAT! feature. I would make it a bit smaller though, 75% of it's current size.
