Jesterv01 completed his war picks. They arent approved by the vault yet but they should be as soon as someone looks at them there. Link to come if NTB doesnt get it before me.
Heres hoping we can talk K into making the feats and such to get them into their own weapon type.

Wow, looks better than the sample picks he showed us on the forum. Can't wait to put this in the hands of a dwarf.
Kaedrin once told me how to do the feats and there is good documentation for them also. They're just passive feats, no coding required, just some 2da entries.
EDIT: Hmm, how are the proficiencies handled?

the feats will be the hardest part. you need prof, improved crit, weapon focus, weapon specialization, weapon master focus, blah blah blah, etc. But Im glad you will do it. make it a ton easier for K to merge it than to take all the time to fab up new feats.

I believe the baseitems.2da controls all of this (which featid is used for focus, etc). Copy/Paste existing focus/spec feats, tweak the description ids, and done.
Any classes that allow weapon focus (Weapon Master, DC) will need their prestige requirements updated.

well if NTB does the footwork for the basic feats and such can you update the PrCs that use weapon focus for us?
Am I right to assume that if you rename the model/skins to a new prefix/numbering that we can call that up from the baseitems.2da so its not sharing the battleaxe stuff?

As long as the base items isn't hard coded, yes. We can't add new shields through the armorrulestats.2da because of hard coding. Easiest test would be to duplicate a baseitems.2da line for an existing weapon, delete the original line (replacing it with a padding line to ensure all id's remain the same), and see if you can still equip the weapon. If so, good to go (just need to update it for picks of course).

I copied the spear entry in baseitems.2da to a new line at the end of baseitems.2da, cleared the original line with all **** entries, and saved it my mydocs/override. Then I loaded a SL character into Battle of the Builds and equiped him with gear from one of the SL builds in the mod. I saw no Acquired Item message for a spear in the event/dialoge screen, nor a no spear in inventory, but I did see gear for all the other slots in the inventory and their Acquired messages in the event/dialogue screen and was able to equip them. I tried dragging from all the inventory slots in the first page into the weapon slot and saw no change in the character sheet.
I opened the spear blueprint properties in the toolset for a temp/new/default module and saw no model in it's preview screen.

yeah you will need to recreate the spear so that its using the new 2da line.

Copied the spear blueprint and set the baseitem type to spear. Then a spear model appeared in it's preview screen where previously there was none.
I then noticed that the stock spear blueprint's baseitem was empty/blank.

Kitted out a clc/sl/fb with gear from battle of the builds off the divine storm soul set. Modified the baseitems.2da and made a blueprint as above. Then made a bare module with the new spear lying on the ground.
The Corrosive Spear of Icy Fire from the item set was unequipable and had bad strref in it's description and baseitem entry in it's description page.
The new spear was equipable but extended storm avatar did not add it's electrical damage to it, so the character sheet said. Shocking Burst and Sonic Weapon complained: * Spell Failed - must have a thrown weapon or spear equipped *. Enhanced Stormlord Weapons (+3) gave no indication of working in the character sheet. Weapon Focus Spear seemed to work in the character sheet. I did not apply the new spear to an opponent.

Just tested the new spear in combat with the previously mentioned build using extended storm avatar as my only buff and no combat modes against a very simple HP tank. The AB, number of attacks and damage range in the dialogue/event screen were exactly as detailed in the character screen, no Extended Storm Avatar extra attack or damage, no Enhanced Stormlord Weapon(+3).
