Worldgate and custom downloader options are being taken off-line in preperation for our move to patch 1.23. New players will have to wait until the transition is complete before they can join.

Also of note, SoZ will be required after the update.

Sweet! i look forward to the autodl. As more servers move to this, the entire dynamic of the community will change. I think you will see a large influx of players once you do this, as world hopping is now a simple process, even easier than NWN1 was because you never need to worry about Hak files.
I look forward to being back on the server with some lvl of frequency. Thanks for the effort guys.

So, LDOA is going to get converted into a campaign and auto-download will feed us the files? But, most of them will be duplicates of what we already have. What do we do so autodownload does not feed us files that we already have?

you may need to get rid of your 'old' files. my understanding is that this new system replaces the need to keep track of all the various files from the PWs you frequent (i beleive it stores them all in the module or campaign directory).
So you will likely need to get rid of all the old files and download the new stuff.

But, it makes no sense to get rid of the old files if the only thing wrong with them is that they are in the old folder. If we know the new folder name then we can just copy the old files there and let the autodownloader figure things out from there.

When things calm down I'll settle on a single naming schema so you don't have to keep downloading files to different dirctories.
for now you can just look at the module name and create a subdir with that name under your home directory and copy the files there. That will reduce your download burden until things stabilize.
We'll still probably see name changes with big updates though

I put all the RoTW haks in D:\Documents and Settings\bobo\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\LDOA\hak and I'm not sure if the autodownloader is modifying them or replacing them. Autodownloader says the content is 93.92MB. Hmm, I think they are being replaced as that's about the approximate file size of the originals.

Yeah, that's not the file format. You didn't do anything to help yourself there. Best to just do the download and you'll see.
