Ouch man sorry to hear that. Depending on how extensive the damage (and what exactly you mean by wrist - yes defintions and perceptions do actually differ)...You may actually be able to play to some extent sooner than you think. Depends also on the hand and what sort of cast is required In any case drink your milk and take a multi-vit if you don't already to make sure your body gets the nutrients it needs to repair as quickly as possible AND stave off possible infections. Unless of course you're the .01% of Americans that actually have a suitable nutritional diet.

I'll be the troll and ask the question everyone else is dying to know: how?
My advice is to embellish the story to make it sound cooler than it was - unless, of course, it was already an awesome story. Say, for instance, the 13th ninja managed to break your wrist when you were distracted rescuing the falling kitten.

Well, ya see, I had gotten orders from a certain Ogre, who just happens to be a Harper Agent, to provide a citizen with telekinetic scrying and high speed virtual communications, witch as a Sorcerer with a dedication to communication skills, is routine for me. So, using a teleport spell to arrive at the site, I quickly used a stasis bag of holding to get the tools, equipment and spells needed. Yeah I know, what is a stasis bag oh holding you ask? Well, it's like a cross between Otiluke's Resillient Sphere and a Bag of Holding. It'lets you put a whole a lot of stuff in a sorta small space, and happens to be portable in the sense you can "open" it anywhere. What you are actually opening is a field of force, which in this case is also connected to one specific spot in one of the outer material plains. This allows you to return to the same spot in that particular material plain no matter where you open the hole from. Makes for a rather handy storage spot. Well, back to the story at hand. My first steps are to get out my levitation device and my item mend scrolls. After successfully levitating up to the proper communication access point and finally mending the long neglected connection points, I delevitated back to the ground. And again accessed my stasis bag to gather materials needed to complete the job outside and in at the citizens dwelling. It just so happened that I ended up backing out of the stasis bag ( yes, it is big enuff for you to walk into), and as I stepped on the ground, I think a nasty little Xaren also slipped out, right under my foot. This caused me to twist my ankle, which made me to spin around and lose my balance. My suspicions are that an Air Elemental decided to add a puff off air, ‘cause I hit the ground real hard and in a split second. The end result was that my left hand tried to stop my fall. That led to my hand/wrist being shoved into and between the two bones of my fore arm. It was kinda unreal to look at my arm and see it make an"S" shape right at my wrist joint. By the way, it hurt like the thingyens too!!! Didn’t have the surgery yesterday, because of hassles with workman’s comp, but did get it done today. Got a bunch of metal sticking through my arm now, holding it all in place. Now they say 8 to 12 weeks of recovery time. Hopefully I can do some hunt and peck typing before that time is up.

Ouch. That is a good story. I wish you a speedy recovery with minimal physical therapy (physical therapists are the cruelest people known to man - Cheney should have hired them to extract information). Good luck wrangling the worker's comp morass as well!
Get better soon. I exalted you for typing out the entertaining explanation despite the bum wing.

(physical therapists are the cruelest people known to man - Cheney should have hired them to extract information). No doubt....That's why they won't put the PT/OT peeps through a surgical rotation. A total knee, for example...is freaking brutal. Using tools you'd find at Home depot no less. Cutting knee caps and bones with a reciprocating saw, hammering metal parts into and onto bones with a mallet, circular saw for bigger cuts. Looks like something you'd find in a horror movie. They don't show the PT/OT folks that stuff, it'd soften em up too much. With that having been said it's a matter of perception. A 60 yr old woman can be ahead of the curve and going strong after her total knee or hip, while the 40 yr old truck driver is crying half way down the hall. After PT has worked with the old lady they are going to have zero sympathy for the poor widdle truck driver

Actualy, no... I had a hold of my tool bag in my right hand, that left my left hand free. So, having my right had holding the tool bag probly kept me from using it to stop my fall, which ment that the full force of stoping the fall was put on my left hand/arm. It appearantly was not up to doing the job, solo any way. So, no, did not trip on my tool bag. All that i know, is that my right ankel twisted as soon as it hit the ground, and the rest of me proceded to hit the ground also. Yeah, musta been a Xaren in cohoots with an Air Genassi or some such to take me down so fast. 'Course it coulda also been a Leprechaun or some such mischeivious wee folk as well.

Hey, has any ever used one of the Z-Board Fang keypads to play this game? Got an old one thats been sitting around unused for a couple years now, might be way for me to play a bit one handed. If i can get used to getting around in the character mode, and find a decent key mapping set up. So if any one has a fang that they use and have a decent key mapping let me know.

Hmm, hadn't heard of that. Looks interesting. Is it like this one? gear.ign.com/articles/711/711736p1.html Reminds me of my favorite controller ever! From Playstation 1. The one-handed controller:
