Could be a coincidence, but the server's died twice while two of us were farming the field. The field also makes my partner crash a lot.

when was this? i norticed an uncharacteristic level of lag yesterday evening. Then again, there were more players on the server than i have seen to date.
I was experinceing this lag around 5-7pm est

I believe the recent lag is an oversight of mine. I neglected to add the creatures for Mirh into the creature cache and spawing almost 200 mobs, then leveling them up and modifying their equipment when someone enters for the first time can cause some serious server stress.
Hopefully adding them to the cache will solve the issue, if not I'll probably have to break the dungeon up into multiple pieces so not all spawn at the same time.
the battlefield is fine as it uses the old logic that ended up weakening the mob but is way more efficient. Only one creature is created, leveled and modified and the rest are just copies.

Ah, that explains the 3 plus minute load time...
The best is when the client crashes during the long load and the player gets xp debt for logging out in an instance.
The problems you guys are seeing might have been related to the recent spat of people forgetting to clear their overrides too.

Really, 3 minutes for some of you guys? That's too long. I'm going to have to re-do the dungeon. I can't have 3 minute loads.
I'll replace the on enter with some triggers.

I haven't actually timed it, but I'll bet it is 3 minutes. My internet connection (6 mbps nominal fiber connection) is not the limiting factor either and I have a pretty powerful PC (E6600). I wouldn't be surprised if other people saw longer load times. Try caching the creatures first.

I timed it several times at under a minute, connection shouldn't matters as much as most of it is handled server side.

Tried a few minutes ago and it took ~ 70 secs. 4 others on the server and none in the battlefield at the time. But this did seem quicker then in the past when the server was more populated . . .

Part of the lag's probably Mirh, which I visited a couple times. It feels like 3 min, but I don't think it's that long, even on my subpar rig.
The other could be the Field battles. Some of them can get pretty crazy when you've got 4-5 goblin/lizard casters all with balors/elementals and SoVs flying around.

I know that on Saturday (having had some previous experience), I clicked to enter Mirh and went to the kitchen to get some lunch which I heated in the microwave for 1:30. It was not done loading when I returned. I did have to do some prep work to get the food into the microwave too. It might have been worse because there were 4 of us entering at the same time?
